Cour Impériale Hue – Authentic Vietnamese Artisan Teas

A 2,000-Year-Old Vietnamese Tea Tradition

Vietnam’s tea culture spans over 2,000 years, beginning with wild teas in Hà Giang, Yên Bái, and Sơn La. By the 10th century, tea cultivation spread to villages, becoming a daily ritual. From 1880 to 1945, plantations in Thái Nguyên and Phú Thọ developed tea into an important economic product.

Huế – The Heart of Imperial Tea Culture

From 1802 to 1945, Hue, the capital of the Nguyen dynasty, shaped refined court tea traditions. In the imperial palace, tea was served during rituals, diplomatic events, and daily reflection. Prized leaves from Thái Nguyên and ancient Shan Tuyết trees were paired with fine Bát Tràng ceramics, highlighting tea color, aroma, and elegance.

We created Cour Impériale Huế, a collection of artisan loose teas, to celebrate Vietnam’s rich tea heritage and showcase its local craftsmanship. Inspired by centuries of culture—from wild northern mountains to the refined imperial traditions of Huế—our teas highlight authentic flavors and high-quality leaves, carefully sourced from Vietnam’s main tea regions. Each product reflects the skill of local artisans and the story of Vietnamese tea. Proudly supported by GAEA, Cour Impériale Huế combines tradition, culture, and excellence, offering teas made in Vietnam for a modern, refined tea experience.
